Alaska Bound

The Alaska guide season is here. May is fading into the rear view mirror and a full summer in Bristol Bay is closing in fast. Boarded a jet this morning for Anchorage - always a bittersweet feeling leaving the Mitten at such a gorgeous time of year. In just over a week we’ll be camping high in the tundra, swinging big streamers for early season Rainbows in the beautiful Katmai National Park. Fingers crossed we get some early dry fly action as well.

I’ll be updating this new blog as a way to scribble down my thoughts and updates on all things happening with Green Drake Outfitters. Social media tells a great story with photos and captions, but sometimes there’s a bit more of the tale to tell.

I’ll mix in pictures and fishing reports as we go. Summer internet access is sparse at best, but should have a few opportunities to connect.
